Dr. Greg Kline, an endocrinologist and assistant professor at the University of Calgary's faculty of medicine, believes that physicians may be better at diagnosis, but there are also other unknown factors driving the 6.6-per-cent increase in cases of thyroid
cancer for women and a 4.2-per-cent increase in cases for men in recent years.
