A READER WRITES IN ABOUT FUCOTHIN

I just got this letter last week, and thought I'd share it with you!

"My name is D. and I was reading your website about fucoxanthin and the thyroid. My thyroid has always been sluggish and I've always had a hard time losing weight. Now that I'm in my forties, it has gotten worse. It seemed no matter what I ate, I couldn't shake those pounds. I also have celiac disease which makes it hard to digest certain foods. When I heard about Fucothin, I had to try it. I already use some Garden of Life products, so I didn't hesitate in trying it. I've been taking it since mid-November and have lost about 4-5 pounds. I was able to lose inches and wear clothes I haven't been able to wear in a while. This was very exciting...I do watch what I eat, and try to walk everyday about an hour, but losing weight was still not happening until I started taking Fucothin. Thanks!" -- D.
I've been getting a steady stream of letters like the one from D since I mentioned that I myself was using fucoxanthin. If you're interested, the brand I'm using (and that D. uses) is Garden of Life's FucoThin. (Be careful about formulations that add in extra iodine, which can aggravate the thyroid in some people.) You can read more about FucoThin here.

IS ARMOUR THYROID GOING OFF THE MARKET?

Like clockwork, here it comes again -- the rumor that Armour Thyroid is going off the market. Is it true? I called the company to ask them, and here's the story.

What are the normal ranges for TSH tests? How should Free T4 and Free T3 tests be interpreted. What are all the types of thyroid antibodies tests and what do they mean? What do fasting blood glucose test results tell us?

NOTES FROM MARY: LET'S TALK!

Dear Readers,

I get hundreds of emails a week from people who have questions about their thyroid treatment, how to lose weight, find a good doctor, and other health issues. I love hearing from everyone, but unfortunately, even though I wish it was possible, there's just no way I can write back with personalized advice in response to everyone's emails.

At the same time, I know that sometimes, you just don't have the time or energy to surf for information, read and research at the websites, or read my books. There are times when you really want to talk to a live person. I understand. When you're at that point, you may want to set up a one-on-one telephone coaching consultation with me. During our phone call, we can brainstorm doctors, talk about your thyroid questions, figure out what your doctor is saying, and I'll share ideas and resources with you on where to get more help so you can feel and live well. Usually, we can schedule your session soon -- within a few days at most. One important reminder -- since I'm NOT a doctor, I cannot offer medical advice or diagnosis. But I can and will listen, guide you to resources, experts, information sources and more that can help you in your effort to live well and feel better! Find out more about phone coaching consultations and request one online now.

I look forward to talking with you!

Live well,

Mary
