I changed endocrinologists about six months ago, and I am very, very happy with my new one: Dr. Ace Lipson, at 2141 K St. NW in Washington, DC. He listens, he explains, and he makes recommendations based on the symptoms, not just on the numbers. He even spends time on the phone with me, answering my questions. And I am not the only one who likes him. We have an organization here that is like Consumers' Union (in fact, it was started with a grant from Consumers' Union) called Washington Consumer Checkbook. They just published a survey of the results of asking people to recommend doctors. Ace Lipson got far and away more recommendations than any other endocrinologist in the area.
